Vintage-dated Tinctures of Ambergris, Civet, Musk and Castoreum
My ambergris tinctures, some of which have sat in the back of the lab fridge since 2011, have had plenty of time to mature. My 10-year old castoreum tincture is probably much stronger than 10%. My rare musks have matured for many years (they were my father’s). As I’ve discovered, even small amounts of these substances can make fundamental differences in a perfume.
