I never had a reason to buy six versions of angelica root and angelica seeds. However, I find the aroma so appealing that I just like smelling it.
Angelica root and angelica seed are almost identical, although I detect a slightly brighter effect from the angelica seed.
Angelica is green, perfectly green, and subtle enough that it can add this note without introducing a strong character of its own.
A green note is almost always essential in a perfume creation, waking up the perfume the same way a touch of vinegar wakes up a sauce.
There are too many uses to list, but I can only say with certainty that it is in my own perfume, Green Iris, which couldn’t exist without it.
Angelica root and seeds are made in two ways: they are steam-distilled or prepared as an absolute.
