When patchouli ages, it looses some of the cloying “rock concert” aspect and gains in complexity and woodiness. This patchouli was aromatic and lovely when I got it seven years ago and it had aged just five years. Now, it has an extraordinary complexity and a distinct smell of exotic woods with none of the rock-concert aggression.
