Ambrette Seed Absolute

from $20.00

Ambrette is hibiscus and if you’ve ever tried to squeeze oil out of a hibiscus seed, you’ll understand why ambrette seed is so expensive. Ambrette seed absolute has a musky aroma—hence it is often called “musk plant”—and an even more pronounced nutty aspect. I’ve noticed that ambrette seed absolute matures and the nutty qualities evolve. It is used in small amounts to add complexity to artificial musks and to give perfumes a subtle je ne sais quoi.
