L'Âme du Parfum, J. Stephan Jellinek, 1992 (175 pages)

$25.00

The title page: Nature et effets, choix et utilization, parfums classiques et modernes.

This book romanticizes the joy of wearing perfume. There’s folklore, and much about choosing one’s particular scent. The book is very opinionated, but that’s part of its charm. While this book is full-color, there is a lot of text. Somehow, the French language lends itself to what seems like an almost metaphysical facet of aroma. The book is worn but still has its sheen and “Perfume” inset in large cursive and lined with gold. However, the cover has lots of scratches, such that I’d rate it “good.”
