This is for someone with a good working knowledge of organic chemistry. I wish I could say I understand it, because it contains entries for the most important perfume synthetics of the mid-twentieth century. It describes the synthesis of the ionones, citral, hydroxycitronellal, and many others. It is 486 pages. The book looks new as far as I can tell. It’s at least very good.
