Perfumes, Cosmetics and Soaps: The Production, Manufacture and Application of Perfumes Vol. II, 1993 (first edition: 1923)

$50.00

While Poucher describes many facets of perfume making and manufacturing, this book is far more in the style, and the information more consistent with the 90s, rather than the 20s. For those who can spring, the second edition (offered here) is more fun and contains more information about compounding fragrances with an emphasis on naturals. The second edition was recommended to me by Mandy Aftel who has learned much from it as a natural perfumer. So, now that I’ve talked down this book, it still contains plenty of good information including a fairly long chapter about fixation. The book is like new, the pages white and the cover uncompromised.
