Raw materials of perfumery, their nature, occurrence and employment, (112 pages) (reprint)
$20.00
Even though I can find no date, this slim paperback volume is typical of 19th century perfumery with its emphasis on natural ingredients and large amounts of animal compounds such as musk and ambergris. Surprisingly, there is a thin section about synthetics, but they are so few compared to what arrived in later years. I though the book was perfect until I looked inside and saw underlining. There’s not that much of it and its in pencil. I’ll erase it if anyone is interested.
