While much of this book requires knowledge of organic chemistry, there is much for the non-chemist to appreciate. The first sections contain a history and talk about the chemistry of natural and synthetic substances. Included later on are such sections as The Role of the Perfumer, The Perfume Brief, The Structure of a Fragrance Company, and a study in perfume perception. Some information is presented about the search for new ingredients. The book is in good shape with the only flaw that I can see, a wrinkle in the top right corner with a tiny break where the glossy surface has been penetrated. If you need more pictures, let me know.
