The Perfume Lover: A Personal History of Scent, Denyse Beaulieu, 2012 (314 pages)
$20.00
This is a delightful read about how someone growing up in a household where fragrance was forbidden, became a writer about perfumes. Eventually, she teams up with a perfumer and together they develop a scent. She intertwines her life with much fun information about perfumes and the substances that go into them. The book looks good from the outside —just a few small smudges—the pages on the inside have turned brown. They’re not falling out, however.
