Vetiver Bourbon, from the island of Réunion, is considered the finest. Comparable in intensity to Ruh Khus, Vetiver Bourbon is super clean. It is bright and forthright and smells like nothing else than vetiver. This has long been my working vetiver. I use the Ruh Khus when color isn’t an issue and I don’t mind its extra woody notes.
